What is Sciatica and how do we treat it?

Sciatica can be a pain in the rear!… Literally! When a bulging or herniated disc puts damaging pressure on the sciatic nerve the pain can be unbearable! The sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the body and travels from the center buttock directly down the back of the thigh all the way to the foot.

Typically this pain is either on one side or the other and is worse with activity. Unfortunately, most of the treatments for this condition simply focus to mask the symptoms but very few are aimed at addressing the actual cause of the condition…. the herniated disc.

With the DRX-9000 we are able to specifically target the particular disc that is causing the pain and create a negative pressure within the disc and “un-bulge” or “un-herniate” these problematic disc. This can be easily diagnosed via an MRI to determine if you are a good candidate for spinal decompression. Sciatic sufferers LOVE us!

Many of our patients have already tried treatments such as physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, OTC medications, pain management, epidural injections, Rhizotomy, and nearly 50% of our patients have already had one spine surgery and are trying to avoid a second one.  As a matter of fact back surgery fails so often that there is an ICD-10 diagnosis code for FAILED BACK SURGERY SYNDROME; 722.8.

If you have been diagnosed with a sciatica and are tired of the pain that comes along with it please call our office and make an appointment so we can sit down and go over your case one on one.  Our doctors have over 33 years experience helping people beat this condition without drugs or surgery.  Let us see if we can help you too!
